Welcome

Lainie Edwards

Australian Art Historian and Provenance Researcher

About me

Whilst studying for my bachelor’s degree in art history, I developed a keen interest in Australian art and artists, particularly early 20th Century artists including Janet Cumbrae Stewart, Jessie C.A Traill, Norah Gurdon, and their group of ex-National Gallery Art School students. This website is my way of giving back to the artists who have brought me so much joy and purpose, and I hope that it helps to re-shine a light on their work and their importance to Australian art history.

If you have anything to contribute to my research or have any questions, I would be happy to hear from you.
